Since 1979, Medical Gas Technologies Inc. has been a business involved with the testing and maintenance of medical gas and vacuum systems. All testing is performed following NFPA 99 health care facilities standards, Det Norske Veritas (DNV) and Joint Commission recommendations.
This company verifies the function and operations of the following:
Zone valves are checked and verified that the locations, labeling, gauge requirements, functions and areas they control are accurate. Outlets for gas, vacuums, pressure and flow requirements checked to be sure they are well within the recommended standards. Alarm panels are verified for location, function, monitor area and labeling. On these alarm panels, low and high pressure signals are tested. The master alarm panels are verified for location and function of bulk oxygen supply, medical air compressors, medical vacuum pumps and high and low pressure.
All findings at each site will be presented in a bound format that will include recommendations for corrective actions. Reports will be presented to appropriate hospital representatives only.
Staff will require the assistance of hospital staff to locate equipment, unlock doors and notify staffing of the inspections.
